Seasonal Drives
We hold seasonal drives during the holidays to benefits those in need. These drives aim to bring joy and relief to disadvantaged individuals and families by collecting essential items such as food, clothing, toys, and other supplies. Through the collective effort of volunteers and generous donors, our organization creates a sense of community and compassion, spreading warmth and happiness during the festive season.
Nowruz Drive
Each year, Nowruz brings holiday joy and magic to thousands of kids and their families around the world. To mark the beginning of the new spring season and celebrate the start of Persian New Year, we are raising funds for those families that are less fortunate.
Nowruz is the time of giving a helping hand and a chance for you to spread kindness, joy, and laughter to underprivileged children and their families. It is our goal to raise sufficient funds to cover over 300 students in all of our programs including those in other countries like Iran, Turkey, Cyprus, and more.
As a tradition, each child will receive $30 Eidi in crisp bills and their families will receive a small gift to prepare for the festivities of Nowruz.
Back-to-School Backpack Drive
Every year CHILD International holds a Back-to-School Backpack Drive for 300 students in all of our local programs. We are ask our donors to help us make the first day of school joyful and pleasant for our students in need. Donations are made in the form of an actual backpack filled with school supplies or a $30 donation toward the purchase of school supplies.
Thanksgiving Drive
It’s become a tradition at CHILD International to hold a Food Drive for Thanksgiving every year, benefiting our Adopt-a-Family and Refugee Relief program.
Every year we encourage our donors to share their blessings by donating or by providing $30 Walmart gift cards towards the purchase of food for our families. We will distributing the funds to our families in the Adopt-a-Family program in Orange County, as well as the Kurdish/Syrian refugees in San Diego.
Christmas Toy Drive
During the holiday season we host a toy drive to distribute toys to every child in all of our programs. By getting the community, workplace, friends, and family involved in offering help in the process, we are able to provide toys and gift cards to over 300 children and their families in our programs.
