We hold seasonal drives during the holidays to benefits those in need. These drives aim to bring joy and relief to disadvantaged individuals and families by collecting essential items such as food, clothing, toys, and other supplies. Through the collective effort of volunteers and generous donors, our organization creates a sense of community and compassion, spreading warmth and happiness during the festive season.

February & March Nowruz Drive

What is Nowruz?

Each year, Nowruz brings holiday joy and magic to thousands of kids and their families around the world. To mark the beginning of the new spring season and celebrate the start of Persian New Year, we are raising funds for those families that are less fortunate.
Nowruz is the time of giving a helping hand and a chance for you to spread kindness, joy, and laughter to underprivileged children and their families. It is our goal to raise sufficient funds to cover over 300 students in all of our programs including those in other countries like Iran, Turkey, Cyprus, and more.

What do we do?

Nowruz is our largest seasonal drive, bringing families together to celebrate the Persian New Year.

We host a special Nowruz dinner for families in our Adopt-a-Family program, creating a warm and festive gathering.

We distribute $40 gift cards along with toys and household items to over 150 children in our Refugee Relief program.
In addition to supporting families locally, we collaborate with MAP (Moms Against Poverty) to contribute to a vocational school in Iran, helping provide education and skill development to underserved youth.
Furthermore, we expand our efforts internationally by distributing Eidi in the form of food vouchers in Iran, ensuring that struggling families can share in the holiday celebrations.

August Back-to-School Backpack Drive

Education is a cornerstone of our mission. Each year, we organize a Back-to-School Backpack Drive for over 300 students in our local programs. Children receive a fully stocked backpack with school supplies and a $40 gift card to assist with purchasing necessary materials. Donations are made in the form of an actual backpack filled with school supplies or a $40 donation toward the purchase of school supplies.

November Thanksgiving Food Drive

Thanksgiving is a time for togetherness and gratitude. Our annual Food Drive ensures that over 300 children and families in our programs can celebrate with a warm meal, benefiting our Adopt-a-Family and Refugee Relief program.
Every year we encourage our donors to share their blessings by donating or by providing $40 Walmart gift cards towards the purchase of food for our families. We distribute $40 gift cards and pantry items to help families in the Adopt-a-Family program in Orange County, and the Kurdish/Syrian refugees in San Diego to create a feast for their holiday.

December Christmas Toy Drive

During the holiday season, we bring joy to children by distributing toys through our Toy Drive. With the help of local communities, workplaces, and volunteers, we provide gift cards and toys to over 300 children, ensuring that every child experiences the magic of the season.

For families in our Adopt-a-Family program, we host a festive Christmas event, where some families celebrate Christmas for the first time. The event features a special visit from Santa, hot chocolate, Christmas treats, and toys for children to take home. Each family also receives a holiday package filled with clothing, saffron, food, household essentials, and a check, helping them create warm and joyful holiday memories.
